Welcome to the Arts & Business Council of Rhode Island's (A&BC/RI) 18th annual Encore Arts & Business Awards.
2007 was another transformative year at the Arts & Business Council. We have expanded our Board of Directors, adding expertise in many new disciplines including; finance, communications, organizational and human resource development and of course, the arts.
The Arts & Business Council of RI supports over 75 arts and cultural organizations in multiple ways including; ArtTix, which will be improved and expanded in 2008, sponsorship of an arts market study that will provide valuable insights into the behaviors and purchasing patterns of the cultural consumer and how we as a community can expand their economic impact. Additionally, we are continuing our work with other arts organizations, public and private sector agencies and the philanthropic community by coordinating our efforts and combining resources to expand the arts and cultural economy in Rhode Island.
In continuing with our tradition, we are pleased to celebrate the accomplishments of another group of extraordinary companies, organizations and individuals. Please join us in congratulating this year's Encore Award winners for their contributions in making Rhode Island an arts and cultural destination.
